Copperfields USA was formed in 1997 by Ken Dickens with the unique purpose of bringing the British style of refined elegance and sophisticated charm to luxury homes in Northeast Florida. Copperfields USA's most recently completed dream homes are now being enjoyed by happy homeowners in the Queens Harbor Yacht & Country Club Community of Jacksonville.

Upon completion and satisfaction of the homeowners in Queens Harbour Yacht & Country Club, Mr. Dickens began searching for a community that could adequately represent the characteristics of the stately English country home transposed with the tropical climate of North Florida. With this vision, Blackrock Hammock was born.

As Vice President of Operations, Ben Lavaris brings over 13 years of residential construction experience in the Northeast Florida market.

Prior to working with Mr. Dickens at Copperfields USA, Inc., Mr. Lavaris had worked with several large-scale homebuilders where he was able to put into practice his knowledge of Construction Technology learned at the University of North Florida. Having honed his expertise, he has developed and implemented systems and procedures at Copperfields, USA to enable a smooth building process.

In addition, while working in the Jacksonville area, Mr. Lavaris has experienced the many state and local code changes due to the challenges of hurricanes – most notably Andrew.

As a seasoned professional, Mr. Lavaris appreciates the quality of workmanship and materials being used, as well as, the value for the investment that is critical to superior construction and long-term customer satisfaction.
